Does anyone know if a detachable fork boom is officially considered an attachment? If so, I'd assume it would require its own data plate, I amust trying to stay compliant and safe

Yep, a fork boom is definitely considered an attachment hahaha. If it's rated separately, it should have its own data plate showing capacity.

What does your manufacturer say about that setup, have you checked the manual or reached out directly? They might clarify if it needs a separate plate or just falls under existing specs

Thanks, that clears things up, I figured it counted as an attachment but wanted to be sure. I'll make sure the data plate's there and properly rated before using it

Yeah, I actually reached out to the manufacturer earlier this week, they confirmed it's classified as an attachment and does need its own data plate if rated separately

Gotcha! If something's rated separately, you absolutely need that separate plate for safety and to follow the rules. Good call checking with the maker directly
